4-H’ is a compelling 3D-animated story that traces the path of four children involved with 4-H. From their early days working in a community garden and building a treehouse, to their crucial initiative and implementation of a community centre project, their journey is one of friendship, growth, and collective impact. As life draws them apart, a storm that damages their beloved centre brings them back together. Their united effort to rebuild demonstrates the film's central message that ‛Making A Difference Is Something You Never Outgrow.’ This story serves as a powerful testament to the enduring bonds of friendship, the spirit of volunteerism, and the profound influence of community engagement.

I was responsible for Directing, Art Direction, concepts of Characters and Scenarios, and some 3d Light and Layout, the production was done by the amazing team at Roof Studios.

Creating '4-H' was a complex process that demanded a harmonious blend of careful planning, captivating storytelling, and meticulous design. Our team passionately crafted a compelling narrative, brimming with lively scenes that were seamlessly bound together by dynamic camera movements and transitions.

Immersing the audience fully into the enchanting world of the children required an unwavering focus on intense attention to detail in our renders. Each frame was meticulously crafted to evoke a sense of wonder and nostalgia, making the viewers feel as though they were experiencing cherished memories themselves. We strived to create a place that beckoned the audience to revisit, a world where they could lose themselves and be captivated by the story unfolding before their eyes.

In pursuit of our vision for '4-H,' I took on the task of hand-painting a few frames, carefully setting the tone and providing the Art Direction for the film. My primary goal was to capture an authentic sense of organic realism, ensuring that the lush vegetation and structures felt not only lived in but also imbued with love and care. By infusing each scene with this heartfelt touch, we were able to create a genuine emotional connection with the audience, immersing them in a world that felt tangible and relatable.

Throughout the entire creative journey, we emphasized the importance of harmonizing the narrative, art, and design elements. This dedication to coherence and synergy resulted in a captivating and heartwarming tale.
We faced the challenge of portraying the kids' growth throughout the film, which required conceptualizing them at different ages while being mindful of resource efficiency. To achieve this, we employed a clever approach that allowed us to evolve the characters without having to create an overwhelming number of assets. Leveraging variations in body features and outfits became instrumental in accomplishing this task seamlessly. Each character was thoughtfully imbued with a distinct vibe and personality, all anchored around one of the 4 icons from the 4-H client: heart, hand, health, and head.

As the characters progressed through various stages of their lives, it was essential to maintain consistency while also highlighting their unique traits tied to the 4-H principles. We meticulously designed and animated each character's growth, ensuring that their transformations were not only visually coherent but also emotionally resonant. The heart-driven character exuded compassion and empathy, while the hand-focused one displayed creativity and skillfulness. The health-oriented character portrayed vitality and wellness, and the head-centered individual exemplified intelligence and wisdom.
